Patient Handling Instructor Training

Our People Handling Instructors course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skill and confidence to design and deliver people handling instruction in the workplace and to complete manual handling risk assessments as required by Part 4 Chapter 2 of the “General Application Regulation Regulations 2007, Manual Handling of Loads”, which states that staff engaged in manual handling must be given training in the safe manual handling of loads.

Prerequisite to attend, must have:

  • Completed a FETAC Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor course
  • Up to date people handling training certificate
  • Competent skills in Powerpoint
  • Experience in the health care industry

You will be required to put together a Powerpoint presentation and deliver this as part of your assessment towards your results for your FETAC exam. For this you will need access to a computer.
