Mini Digger Training Course Aim:
The aim of Platinum Safety’s Mini Digger Training Course which we run at our training centre in Limerick is to equip candidates with the skills, knowledge and understanding to operate earth-moving plant in a safe and efficient manner.
Mini Digger Ticket Course Content:
The machines essential features and routine maintenance
How to operate the machine safely and effectively
How to avoid potential dangers
Health and Safety Legislation
How to give and understand banks-man’s signals
How to move a machine to and from a site
Starting and stopping the machine
Pre-shift and daily checks
Operating the machine
Changing attachments
Excavating & digging procedures/practices
Back-filling procedures/practices
Mini Digger Training Course Ticket – Ireland
Duration: 1 Day
Mini Digger Course Times: 8.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Certification: Theory and Practical Examination. On successful completion candidates will be awarded a FETAC Certificate and a CSCS Card.
Mini Digger (up to 6 tonnes) Training Prerequisites:
- Completed New Entrants Log Book (Minimum 6 months experience) or meet criteria in the candidate pack
- One passport size photograph
- Safe Pass course completed
- PPS Number
- PPE (personal protective equipment) i.e. hard hat, high vis vest, steel capped boots, gloves.
Platinum Safety’s mini digger course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training. Our mini digger training and assessment programme enables experienced operators to gain recognition for their achievements. Successful forward mini digger training course candidates get certified after demonstrating their skills, knowledge and attitudes associated with plant operations.
